About Candida Albicans
Candida Albicans is yeast that occurs naturally in the human body. Normally it lives in harmony with a variety of other microorganisms and actually performs a couple important functions. The problem occurs when something upsets the balance of bacteria in the body and this allows the yeast organism to proliferate and take over all the healthy microorganisms.
Once Candida Albicans sets up house in the gastrointestinal tract, it can change forms and penetrate the intestinal wall and enter the blood stream, which allows it to travel all through the body. It may then take up residence anywhere, like the lungs, joints, muscles, sinuses, brain, spine, gallbladder, liver, or anywhere it pleases. When it permeates the intestinal wall, it leaves microscopic holes, which may lead to the development of leaky gut syndrome and food allergies as undigested food particles and other toxins enter the body.
It has a variety of names and is also known as thrush, athletes feet, vaginal yeast infection, Candida, Candida yeast, yeast syndrome or yeast infection. When it enters the blood stream is then called systemic Candida or Candidiasis.
The overgrowth of Candida Albicans is rampant in our society due to two main factors. Those factors are the overuse of prescription antibiotics and a diet that is low in nutritional value and high in refined sugars and simple carbohydrates.
It normally resides in the intestinal tract, mouth, throat and genitals, however it can burrow holes in the intestinal tract, enter the blood stream and then make it's way into any organ of the body. To make matters worse it emits over 70 different toxins into the body. Some people may even become allergic to the yeast itself.
Once this hardy organism proliferates in the body, it wrecks havock in many ways and is the instigator of many common maladies, conditions, syndromes and illnesses in our population.
Some of the most frequent Candida symptoms are:
• abdominal gas
• excessive fatigue
• cravings for alcohol
• rectal itching
• cravings for sweets
• inability to think clearly or concentrate
• mood swings
• weak immune system
• sinus inflammation
• pre-menstrual syndrome
• poor memory
• persistent cough
• low sex drive
• muscle weakness
• learning difficulties
• hair loss
• sensitivity to fragrances and/or other chemicals
• cognitive impairment
• athlete's foot
• sore throat
• acid reflux
• chronic pain
• high cholesterol level
• circulation problem
• high blood pressure
• Parkinson Disease
One of the most well known forms of yeast is the infection. However, it may play a role in just about any mental health condition or chronic illness you can think of. Yeast overgrowth is considered to be a leading contributor in alcoholism, anxiety disorders, asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, addisons disease, mcs - multiple chemical sensitivites, crohns, autism, cfs - chronic fatigue syndrome, leaky gut syndrome, pms, endometriosis, fms - fibromyalgia syndrome, prostatitis, attention deficit disorder, multiple sclerosis, asthma, food allergies, muscle and joint pain, clinical depression, repeated urinary tract infections, hormonal imbalances, migraines, digestive disturbances, difficult menopause psoriasis, lupus, chronic pain, tourette's, vulvodynia, rheumatoid arthritis and many more.
The brain is the organ that is most frequently affected by Candida Symptoms, but it also has profound negative effects on these systems:
Candida symptoms can vary from one person to another and often move back and forth between systems within the same individual. One day you may experience symptoms in the musculoskeletal system and the next day it could be the digestive system ,etc.
Many people are surprised to learn that the primary Candida causes are all a result of something we've basically brought upon ourselves unknowingly without intention.
We all have millions of bacteria living in our body at all times. Some are considered good bacteria while others are considered bad and can cause a wide variety of health conditions.
In a healthy body, the good bacteria keep the bad bacteria in check so there is a nice even balance. When someone develops Candida overgrowth the balance has become upset and the bad bacteria have taken control. Something has gone awry and allowed the Candida bacteria to flourish and grow rampant.
There are a variety of factors that contribute to this imbalance and allow the yeastie beasties to get the upper hand.
2 Main Candida Causes
1. Antibiotics,Contriseption pills
One of the biggest causes of Candida is the overuse of broad spectrum antibiotics. Prescription antibiotics are now used routinely for too many conditions when they are not called for. This has resulted in making bacteria become completely immune to them. Antibiotics kill off the friendly bacteria as well as the unhealthy bacteria and this encourages Candida to grow rampant.
Even if you don't take antibiotics, most people are exposed to them unknowingly. Farm animals are routinely fed antibiotics, our meat supply is injected with hormones and antibiotics and the feed that our farm animals eat is laced with antibiotics, all under the false pretense that it makes our food safer, when in fact what it really does is contribute to this problem of making bacteria immune to antibiotics and the overgrowth of Candida. When you eat these animals, or eat their by products such as milk, cheese and cottage cheese, etc., you absorb the antibiotic into your body.
It's now pretty common for someone taking prescription antibiotics to develop yeast related infections in the body. For example; women typically get vaginal yeast infections and small children get oral thrush or recurring ear infections.
2. Poor Diet and Nutrition
Poor diet and nutrition are the next largest Candida causes. If the body does not receive adequate levels of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that it needs to function optimally then it becomes vulnerable to bacteria, viruses, etc.
The present day the diet is not nutritious in the least. It's packed with a bunch of junk food like candy, doughnuts, cookies, soda and chips. Even the foods you think would be healthier such as breakfast bars and cereals are loaded with sugar and lacking in nutrients. As a matter of fact, almost everything you buy at the grocery store contains sugar of some sort.
In spite of the fact that we have a society that is growing rampantly with grossly overweight and obese individuals we are actually malnourished, because the food we're eating does not contain nourishment.
The standard American diet that is high in sugar and refined carbohydrates creates a fertile breeding ground for Candida to proliferate freely. Candida thrives on sugar and carboyhydrates. A diet high in sugar and refined carbohydrates is also deficient in vitamins and minerals and thus doesn't nourish a healthy body that can resist Candida overgrowth.
However, sugar is not the only criminal. It's also all those simple, starchy foods being ingested. In the digestive system starchy foods are converted to sugar. The more refined these foods are the quicker they are converted.
It is all this excess sugar that is responsible not only for Candida yeast overgrowth but many other health conditions like obesity, malnutrition and diabetes.
Other Candida Causes
In addition to the two main causes of Candida - antibiotics and diet, there are a few other factors that can contribute as well.
Other instigators of Candida causes may include the use of cortisone, birth control pills, or other steroid type drugs, immune suppressing drugs, and synthetic estrogens. All these create a hormonal imbalance in the body and allow the Candida to thrive and take over.
It is also believed that dental amalgams, ulcer medication, heavy metal poisoning, environmental toxins, excessive stress, antacids, bowel problems, chlorinated water, insufficient levels of hydrochloric acid or pancreatic enzymes, and a body ph level that is too acidic also contribute to the overgrowth of yeast.
Individuals with diseases that weaken the immune system such as diabetes and HIV are also more vulnerable to Candida yeast overgrowth.
Basically it is the combination of our food choices and medical treatments that are responsible for the proliferation of Candida and the many health conditions and chronic illness that are linked to this overgrowth. Since this is the case, it means that if people who don't already have an overgrowth of Candida, make better choices, preventing Candida causes is totally within their power. With education and change we could stop this epidemic from growing any larger.

What are estrogenic chemcals /pesticides?
These compounds are derived from chlorine and are part of the organochlorine family. They are called "estrogenic" because they block the action of the human hormone estrogen, a compound produced by both males and females that regulates sexual and reproductive function. Research has linked some forms of cancer to organochlorine. Coincidentally, since the 1940's when estrogenic pesticides such as DDT were first used, the incidence of breast and prostate cancer has doubled and testicular cancer has tripled. These chemicals have also been linked to the drop in the human sperm count, now half of what they were 50 years ago. The World Health Organization estimated in 1989 that 1 million pesticide poisonings occur each year worldwide, resulting in 20,000 deaths.
